Following a successful pilot in 2023, we launched a full-funnel, programmatic Direct Mail strategy in June 2024—leveraging both web behavior and Virgin Voyages customer data to reach new and repeat Sailors at every stage of the funnel.

From Q3 2024 through Q1 2025, the program has driven:

  • $34.2M in incremental revenue

  • 11,247 incremental conversions

In Q1 2025 alone, the program generated:

  • Over 4,700 bookings

  • Nearly $14M in revenue, with $8.3M attributed to incremental impact via Direct Mail

WAVE 2024

Virgin Voyages | Dec 2023 - Feb 2024

WAVE season (November–February) traditionally brings the best cruise deals of the year—and 2024 was no exception.

Assets produced:
Landing page, B2B + B2C marketing materials, digital banners, trade ads, paid ads, and in-port digital signage.

Highlights & Performance:

  • January 2024: Highest booking month on record

  • Q1 2024: Highest January WAVE revenue to date

  • Record-setting ticket prices achieved during the campaign

  • All-time high web traffic globally

    • Travel Agent traffic ↑ 24% YoY

    • Direct Bookings ↑ 30% YoY

    • The U.S. led in both earned and paid traffic

Notably, we achieved these results with significantly reduced marketing and media spend, supporting our broader cost reduction initiatives without sacrificing performance.
